The 2014 Gordon Research Conference in Industrial Ecology will be held at the Renaissance Tuscany Il Ciocco Resort, Lucca (Barga), Italy, from 1 to 6 June 2014. The conference will be chaired by Helga Weisz, with Heinz Schandl as vice chair.

The Gordon Research Conference format offers a unique opportunity to showcase the frontier science in our field of industrial ecology and to intensively discuss new ideas. The ability to give an oral presentation is limited through the format of plenary throughout. To balance this, posters have high visibility and great importance in the conference and are equivalent to an oral presentation in a conference session, with regard to the number of people who see the research and the intensity of discussion that occurs at poster sessions. Even if you don’t plan to talk or to present a poster, conference attendance is still very valuable and you will not be disappointed if you attend. The conference topic and list of keynote speakers are currently being developed and will soon be shared with all of you. Please be aware that the number of attendants is limited and that you will need to register your interest in time.
