This month on the ISIE-SEM
blog, Anthony
Halog shares his experiences from a fellowship in Japan and we provide
advance notice of the 2014 Gordon
Research Conference in Industrial Ecology. Tao Lin, Yunjun Yu, Xuemei Bai,
Ling Feng and Jin Wang provide details of their recent article in PLoS ONE on GHG
emissions accounting for Xiamen City, China. We’d
also like to remind you that nominations
are now open for two awards which will be presented at the ISIE conference in
Ulsan, South Korea in June. This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our colleagues’ achievements, but it requires the effort to put forward
excellent nomination packages. Get your nominations in by 30 April 2013.
Contributions to the blog (http://isie-sem.blogspot.com.au)
are very welcome. It is a great way to describe and promote your institutions,
advertise conferences and jobs, and alert international colleagues to recent
research and publications. Showcasing institutes, especially, has been a very
popular feature. Please send articles (and images
if available) to karin.hosking@csiro.au. They don’t need to be long – 200
to 300 words are plenty – and we have an in-house editor if you have any
concerns about your English. We look forward to receiving your contributions.
