The School of Geography, Planning and Environmental Management is one of the
largest Schools of this type in Australia with 37 full-time academic staff who
are widely published internationally and have extensive research backgrounds.
It is a vibrant, multidisciplinary School with extensive teaching and research
programs. The School has a strong international research profile with active
Research Centres across its fields of expertise.
The role
The successful appointee will assist in implementing a teaching
project on 'Developing Innovative Teaching Materials in Blackboard for
Sustainable Consumption and Production, and Industrial Ecology and Life Cycle
Assessment'. In alignment with the call for climate change
mitigation and pursuing circular, sound material-cycle economy, the
responsibilities of the successful applicant include:1. To develop innovative teaching and learning materials in line with flipped classroom strategies;
2. To create a one-stop Blackboard in support of learning the principles and concepts of Industrial Ecology, Circular Economy, Life Cycle Assessment, Sustainable Production and Consumption.
The person
The person must have excellent skills in searching and locating relevant
materials in the internet, finding appropriate textbook and reference
materials, searching for free academic software in the internet, familiar in
using social media (i.e YouTube), uploading developed materials in Blackboard
and scanning materials.
Remuneration
This is a casual appointment for 60 hours at HEW 4 Level 1. The remuneration
package will be $34.89/hr.
